The primary mission of PhillyUnions.com is to provide Philadelphia area unions, their members and pro-union businesses and professionals with a platform, tools and resources to help them achieve their goals as well as to promote and support union standards throughout Philadelphia and vicinity. Communication & Publicity Platform and Rapid Response Tools for Philadelphia Area Unions

PhillyUnions.com provides communication, networking, publicity and rapid response tools to over 100 Philadelphia area unions and labor activist organizations and is Philadelphia's union news and information source, giving area unions an unprecedented communication and rapid response medium plus a powerful media platform and voice to promote and publicize important issues that affect working families. We also serve as a valuable resource center and community hub for the entire Philadelphia area union community.

As of April 2005, by unanimous vote of the Philadelphia Council AFL-CIO (http://phillyunions.com/aflcio) Executive Board, the PhillyUnions.com Pro-Union Preferred Partners Program, which includes the Preferred Partners B2B Network, is the Philadelphia Council AFL-CIO's authorized Buy Union/Pro-Union resource and guide as well as its official vendor screening, certification and marketing program. The PhillyUnions.com Preferred Partners Program provides the resources for Philadelphia area unions and their members and families to connect with union and union friendly vendors. The network is growing quickly and is expected to soon encompass thousands of vendors.
